We are a non-profit organization rooted in the heart of Jos, Nigeria, committed to building a more just, compassionate, and inclusive society. Our identity is shaped by three core values—compassion, resilience, and collaboration—which guide every step we take and every life we touch.
We believe in the power of empathy to restore dignity, the strength of communities to overcome adversity, and the transformative impact of working together. Our mission centers on supporting vulnerable individuals, with a special focus on women empowerment, children, and people living positively with HIV/AIDS. Through advocacy, empowerment programs, and community initiatives, we strive to create pathways to safety, opportunity, and long-term well-being.
At our core, we are a community of people who refuse to look away from suffering. Instead, we choose to stand with those whose voices are often unheard—amplifying their stories, strengthening their capacities, and walking alongside them toward a future defined not by vulnerability, but by possibility.

Zuciyar Havillah—meaning The Heart of Havillah—was founded in loving memory of Azumi Habu Buba (1960–2010), whose life embodied resilience, compassion, and transformation. She later adopted the name Havillah to reflect a renewed identity grounded in peace, purpose, and spiritual healing. Deeply moved by the hidden struggles of widows and orphans, she envisioned community initiatives that restore dignity, empowerment, and belonging. Though she passed away from breast cancer, her vision endured and was rekindled on December 19, 2023, leading to the foundation’s formal establishment in 2026 to support vulnerable widows—particularly those committed to educating their children. The foundation also aims to provide HIV/AIDS support to affected families, further enhancing its role in women empowerment. Inspired by lived experience and the memoir Laraba: A Memoir of Scars and Solace, whose proceeds help seed the work, Zuciyar Havillah continues her legacy of love, healing, and renewal.
